Thank you for bringing this portrait home. I spent many quiet hours hand-drawing each of these portraits, trying to capture some nuanced, quirky characteristic in each animal. Something we might relate to and call ‘human’. These creatures share the planet with us, oftentimes at their peril and I think we easily forget that they also share the same thirst for life and emotional intelligence as us.
